That smile…

Dear diary,

I saw this picture, and knew the perfect place to put it [here!].

This should remind me to smile more often 🙂

This week has been tough. I promised myself that I would treat myself better next week but I don’t think that will be possible. Just because we had a huge exam this week doesn’t mean that there’s no school next week. So I’ll be waiting for summer. Summer 2013!!! 🙂

I also should be smiling more, I shouldn’t let any of life’s problems get to me. Especially since the problems never quit! They just keep pouring on you till you think you’re not going to survive. In time like these I remind myself that everything happens for a reason and that – THERE IS A GOD. He loves me and looks out for me.

This week, I’m listeneing to soft pop : The Fine Frenzy – Now Is The Start
Kina Grannis – In Your Arms

Love, Ann.

What has been dragging you down recently? I’m curious, please leave a comment.

What should we pursue?

Dear diary,

Losing my phone has taught me an important lesson: there is so much more to life than gathering things for yourself.

I read a post by Becoming Minimalist ‘Not What We Possess, But What We Pursue’ (you should check it out, it’s really nice). We ought to have something to live for! Life is a beautiful thing, if only we all knew. It is a blessing to wake up, breathe, pray and laugh. Those are blessings! Not your new watch or phone… When you come to appreciate the little things in life, everything falls into place and then you start to understand and really live.

I have come to see the ugly side to ‘success’. Having it all and feeling empty inside. I lived through it and I can say that anyone who says that having it all is the most important goal in life is a liar.

There is so much more to life. Beauty, faith, hope, love, justice…etc are just examples.

If I could pray for everyone, I would pray that all men should learn to be generous and meek. All those who have should give to those who don’t : that is why they have! All those who don’t have shouldn’t envy or feel ashamed because they are worth so much. We are all children of the most high king who looks after us everyday and provides for us. What more could we ask for?

Love, Ann.

What are you pursuing? When did it start and how? I’m very eager to hear from you so please leave a reply.
