Love yourself

When I look into your eyes, I see all the tears you cried

All the tears that flowed, all the tears you didn’t want to show.

When I look into your eyes, I see the world you wish you had

The world they deceivingly flaunted and made to look so easy.

When I look into your eyes, I see the future you hoped for,

I see a sad little bird, who life kept caged in a fold.

When I look into your eyes, I see a girl who never got to see

Herself as a true beauty, both envied and adored but ignorant

because she shut her eyes for tears to cover, let sadness conquer her

heart, she could not see but what she did not have so she couldn’t fathom

How much beauty she had in her.

Georgio is a charming young guy.

He is tall and bold.

He goes to a good school and looks serious.

I have a slight crush on him.

We chat often and he says we are in love but I can’t say for sure.

You see Georgio knows the exact words to say to a girl. When he talks to me, I am taken by the words to another planet…in a trance. I really come alive and like a hot cup of whatever you like on a lazy morning, he gives me energy and motivates me.

But does that mean he loves me?

When I am down and he comforts me, present, telling me to be strong and what I need to do, I feel like I can trust him forever.

But does that mean we’re in love?

He stays up all night to chat with me and asks for my consent with how our dates should go but he doesn’t ask me how he should talk to his ex-girlfriends. They are still fond of each other and he send me images of their chats.

I’m probably jealous, but I don’t want to be just another one of those girls who he is fond of.

You see, Georgie might not be in love at all. I think he’s just a really nice guy who sees potential in people and helps them grow.

I would rather not let my heart grow too fond of him.

Alex’s First Post

I watched The Grand Budapest Hotel with my sister this week. The movie, directed by Wes Anderson, was comical and the main characters were cute. Mr Gustave and little mignonĀ ‘zero’, the lobby boy šŸ˜€ I would definitely watch it again. The storyline is quite interesting, I believe it’s an adaptation of Stefan Zweig’s works, I’ll be sure to check some out! In all of this excitment, it also turned out to be a heart-warming story of how a lobby boy bonding with his master, found so much more than riches.

One of it’s major pluses was its graphics. The scenery was just amazing.Ā The film won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture.

AnotherĀ thing that I liked about the movie was the animation. In some scenes, the director used stop-motion and some other cute tricks that made the movie even more dynamic and interesting.

Sometimes in life you’ll need mentors. People to look up to and learn from. I find it difficult to be the apprentice. I’m just scared of being intimidated by someone else but as we see in the movie, Zero’s meek nature takes him far because Mr. Gustave confided in him and protected him.Ā
